Pie Crust
6 cups Pastry Flour
2 tsp Salt
1 lb Lard
1 Tbsp Vinegar
1 Egg
Mix together flour and salt.
Cut in lard until mixture resembles coarse oatmeal.
In a 1 cup measure, add vinegar and beaten egg. Add water to make 1 cup.
Gradually stir liquid into lard mixture. Add only enough to make dough cling together.
Divide into 6 portions and refrigerate or freeze.
Bake pie at 425°F for 10 minutes and 350°F for 30 - 40 minutes.
Note
Too much liquid makes pastry tough.
