Spiced Pear Jam

Makes seven 250ml jars with some left over. Original recipe here.

Ingredients

4 1/2 cups Ripe Pear, mashed
1/4 cup Lemon Juice
3 Tbsp Powdered Fruit Pectin

1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Ground Cloves
1/2 tsp Ground Allspice
1/2 tsp Ground Nutmeg

6 cups Sugar

Instructions

Mix all but sugar in a heavy pot, bring to boil.
Add sugar, stirring, bring to full rolling boil. Boil for 1 minute.
Fill jars to within 1/4" of top, seal.
Process in water bath canner for 10 minutes, water level at least 1" above jars.

Notes

I think I didn't add the butter and it was fine?
If using very ripe pears, you may want to reduce sugar by half.
